Male population is based on the de facto definition of population, which counts all male residents regardless of legal status or citizenship. Refugees not permanently settled in the country of asylum are generally considered to be part of the population of their country of origin.......Source: World Bank staff estimates using the World Bank's population and distributions of the United Nations Population Division's World Population Prospects.
